Friday Round Up: The Christmas Countdown Edition

Peter's picture

It's the last weekend before Christmas and things have been busy around here. We've had our second carnival, a bunch of new subscribers, and I've been working on a few changes for the site that I hope to have finished shortly. Let's take a closer look, shall we?

Carnivals

The latest edition of the Carnival of Personal Finance was hosted by Get Rich Slowly. This week I submitted my 5 Reasons To Manage Your Money article which JD selected as one of his "Main Presents." There are plenty of great articles submitted and I encourage you to take a look if you haven't already.

Since the carnival went live on Monday there have been over 800 visitors to Plan Your Escape. Since this site is quite new, the recent traffic is well above the previous levels I've been getting. Thanks JD!

Welcome New Subscribers

I also wanted to take a few minutes to welcome some of our new RSS and email subscribers. Thanks for showing your interest! It's a lot nicer for me to write knowing I've got some interested readers. So in return, I'll do my best to keep providing interesting material for you to enjoy. Be sure to let me know if you have any questions or any topics you'd like me to cover in more detail.

Categories Coming

One new thing I've been working on is categorizing my posts. I sometimes cover a broad range of topics which might not interest every one of my readers. By adding categories, I hope you'll have an easier time finding other articles I've written on the topics that interest you the most. It's a bit challenging for me to assign labels to my stories, especially when they touch on several topics at once, but I think the extra effort will be worth while in the long run.

Have A Great Weekend!

Have a great weekend and enjoy your festive preparations - whether that happens to be some last minute shopping or some quiet reflection.
